Tony's mother died the year before Janey was born. She had wanted us very much to have a girl, and spoke of it often, how we should have a "little blond beautiful girl" We joke that she got to heaven, got a wish somehow and sent us Janey, but forgot in her eagerness to request a non-autistic version, as she was getting forgetful at the end. Sometimes you have to just laugh a little at the craziness of it all.Suzannehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08240262747073351481noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5441989712918579133.post-77479937835768169392013-09-01T22:13:40.071-04:002013-09-01T22:13:40.071-04:00My older daughter was very eager to grow up fast a...My older daughter was very eager to grow up fast and become very independant very early. In many ways it seemed her babyhood was a flash in time and was gone, just like that and I had a "big girl" who wanted to do everything herself. When I got pregnant with Sophie I kept telling myself that I will treasure every bit of her babyhood because I always felt robbed of my big girl's early years, they went by so fast. So I made a conscious effort to seize, feel every moment of every day of Sophie being a baby...
LOL... Fast forward 3 years and she is still very much a baby. I sometimes say ironically be careful what you wish for you might just get it. I did say I wanted to make Sophie's babyhood last, I said it more than once. Guess, someone was listening.
Sorry about the story but your post just reminded me of this :) Sophie's Trainshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07774177895296697594noreply@blogger.com
